A Century of Landscapes to Discover at the Musée Marmottan Monet from Hôtel Murat
This autumn, the Musée Marmottan Monet invites visitors on an artistic journey through more than a century of creativity. From September 24, 2026 to January 31, 2027, the exhibition Histoires de paysages. De Monet à Hockney (1890–2026)explores the ways in which artists have reinvented landscape in response to a changing world.
An Artistic Journey from Monet to the Present Day
Organised in collaboration with the Musée de Grenoble, the exhibition creates a dialogue between Claude Monet and artists of the 20th and 21st centuries. The exhibition is divided into eleven chronological and thematic sections, exploring subjects such as landscapes in wartime, the abstraction of nature, inner landscapes and the Anthropocene.
The exhibition also forms part of the commemorations marking the 100th anniversary of Claude Monet’s death, offering a unique opportunity to rediscover his legacy and explore the evolution of landscape art through to contemporary creation.
